Job Role

Working within a friendly team of 10 your day to day duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be contacting our existing clients daily to ensure that we are maximising our sales revenue
  • Following up pipelines and quotes sent out previous/same day to quote for any email/ print and post campaigns our clients may be running
  • Managing your key client accounts and maintaining regular contact to ensure that both MarketingFile and the client are getting the most out of regular campaigns
  • Communicating clearly with campaign managers to ensure that client campaigns run as smoothly as possible
  • Obtaining and providing quotes to clients
  • Providing advice and support to clients looking to run campaigns
  • Attending face to face meetings with clients to build and maintain strong relationships
Skills/Experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous print experience is highly advantageous but not a necessity
  • Previous business development experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Computer Literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of working to sales targets and KPI’s

Business Development Manager (TouchPoint)

Between £25,000 and £35,000 p.a. depending on experience. Plus excellent commission scheme.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work to develop existing and new opportunities for our recently launched product Touchpoint.

Touchpoint is a new product to the market providing a full, end to end direct marketing service to its users. Once a customer is signed up to the system they have access to both their own customer and prospect data through the system, and have the ability to execute postal, email and SMS fulfilment options.

Job Description

The primary role is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. You must then plan and pitch the Touchpoint solution to the prospect and will be targeted on new business generated. You will also be required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services. You will have the responsibility of managing and growing the new business pipeline and increasing both conversion and retention.

 
New Business Development
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate generating your own leads to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the clients business.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
Client Retention
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal sales staff to meet customer needs.
Business Development Planning
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with the Managing Director on business trends with a view to enhancing the future development of Touchpoint.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Other Attributes
  • A good spread of GCSEs at A-C grade, including English and Maths.
  • A Levels, HND or Degree
  • A good standard of spoken and written English
  • A warm and friendly telephone manner
  • Very well presented, with excellent presentation skills
